You Can’t Make This Up… Columbia University Offers Six Segregated Graduations to Celebrate ‘Diversity’
Can it be called a celebration of diversity when an event specifically segregates people? Doesn’t that miss the point?
Ivy League college Columbia University now offers six additional graduation ceremonies that it claims to celebrate the different ways that people “identify.”
From their website, the university offers:
Sunday, April 25, 4:00 p.m.: Native Graduation
Monday, April 26, 4:00 p.m.: Lavender Graduation
Tuesday, April 27, 10:00 a.m.: Asian Graduation
Tuesday, April 27, 7:00 p.m.: FLI Graduation
Thursday, April 29, 6:00 p.m.: Latinx Graduation
Friday, April 30, 4:00 p.m.: Black Graduation
“FLI” stands for first-generation/low income. The university claims each celebration is open to anyone, although that seems at odds with the very descriptions they offer.
