Presidential hopeful and Senator Cory Booker failed to gather enough support to make the last debate stage, and then he failed to make the stage for the next and final debate. With flagging numbers and falling fundraising, he formally announced that his presidential campaign is done for.
Over the weekend, author and Democratic presidential nominee candidate Marianne Williamson also dropped out, citing a lack of polling numbers and fundraising, and also that she didn’t want to split support from stronger progressive candidates. There wasn’t much evidence she’d drain support from someone else, although she was quite entertaining to watch.
The Democratic field appears to be a group of four – Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Pete Buttigieg – and then the rest of the pack.
So far, just half of them have qualified for the final debate, including the four above plus Amy Klobuchar and Tom Steyer.
Tulsi Gabbard and Andrew Yang are the notables who won’t be on the stage.
