Is it bribery, or maybe just persuasion?
Many schools claim they can’t reopen because they don’t have the funds necessary to create social distance between kids and to keep everything clean.
It appears that President Trump, who has been adamant about schools reopening, has a solution. Money.
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said:
“The president has said that he’s open to suggestions about additional funding if it appears that would be necessary in certain states and localities, so he will look at that.”
Last week, Trump blasted the CDC’s school reopening guidelines as too expensive and impractical, and he was also talking about taking money from schools that don’t reopen.
Maybe this is the good cop, bad cop routine, where President Trump plays both characters.
