At Least in Mississippi, Transgender Athletes Can’t Compete in Women’s Sports

The Mississippi state government has a message for athletes, “Girls will be girls, period.”

Mississippi’s Republican governor on Thursday signed legislation banning transgender athletes from competing in women and girls’ sports, the first U.S. state to pass such legislation this year.

Governor Tate Reeves had vowed earlier this month he would sign the bill, tweeting that the measure was needed “to protect young girls from being forced to compete with biological males for athletic opportunities.”

Some 37 bills regulating transgender athletes have been introduced in 20 states this year, according to LGBTQ advocates at the Human Rights Campaign.

Human Rights Campaign President Alphonso David said:

“Governor Reeves’ eagerness to become the face of the latest anti-transgender push is appalling, as he chooses fear and division over facts and science.”

Hmm, which facts and science would that be?  Physiologically transgender girls, which are boys who identify as girls, still have the bone and muscle traits of boys.

Well, let me tell you my comment. NO, boys that were born boys should not be able to compete with girls born girls. If transgendere want to compete make a team of just them and that will make it fair for everyone. They can compete with each other and this will not be a problem for them or the original girls or boys.

the media needs to get past the everyone gets a trophy era. these youth need to be brought back to reality. need to understand the law that state for every action there will be a reaction. their actions to change their sex gender, got a reaction of not acceptable. they knew that from the start, so how can now believe that competition in a female sport is now acceptable. many young females have worked very hard to get where they are. and just because a whimp of president singed an EO. doesn’t necessarily change all of society thinking. accept that as facts, and move on, no trophy this time. like a pay check it must be earned honestly. they been babies from start, have mom or dad go buy them a trophy. there will never be a law that can make anyone change their moral opinions. if trangender want to compete then do compete with same sex group you were as. society has lost all its morals, so do they believe but there are still people who hold on to values that God created. for all. not just those who choose to. so little boy u want a trophy ask mom to buy u one.

I would not agree with that, unless they are first diagnosed as transgender. No one should get a result they want, simply by a declaration. What if whites declared themselves black, so they could get anti-discrimination protections and the benefit of termination suits due to race?

‘I declare myself a billionaire” so I am going to my bank and requesting that they make the necessary adjustments to my bank account to reflect my identity.

You are 100% correct. This whole transgender trend is ridiculous. Let them compete with each other. Everyone needs to realize that a transgender male is still biologically a male, regardless if he now has beasts. Therefore, to compete against a biological female is totally unfair to the female athlete. I am sick and tired of this politically correct garbage. Before people get crazy over my comments, I am not homophobic or against gay people. Just stating the facts!

The fastest female sprinter in the world, Allyson Felix, has a lifetime best of 49.26 seconds in the 400 meter run. Based on 2018 data, nearly 300 high school boys in the US alone could beat that time. Given such biological disparity, any form of physical competition between males and females is demonstrably unfair.

I agree, but women’s rights advocates created this dilemma by lying about equality being the sexes. Title IX is crap, because boys have to subsidize girl sports because they are not good enough. In fact, boys are denied access to some sports so women can have access when the market says no. Women took jobs from minorities by falsely claiming the label of minority and this called the white privileged female to have an unfair advantage of minorities.

Even now, the white female complains about a glass ceiling that her abilities can’t get pass, while she ignores the glass ceiling that minority men who are equal or superior to her can’t get past.

Sadly, liberal women created this problem.

Let’s give a high 5 to Mississippi, They certainly did the right thing, as a father I would not take it so lightly if a boy/girl showed up in my daughters’ sports, first off she was a swimmer, and second, I would be sitting right next to the daddy in the stands. Don’t have a boy who relates being a girl and can’t compete with the boys is bull, we have a lot of gay Athletes that are at the top in their sports, don’t ruin my girls’ chances of succeeding. God Bess this state and I pray the other 49 do the same. Dennis Rodman was a 3 dollar bill and was the best man under the basket, he was a mad man on the courts. How would you like him to show up in a women’s basketball game.

“Boys will be boys!” No matter how they personally identify, one cannot change their DNA.
      Kudos to Mississippi.

If a transgender is truly a female then no female she have a problem with it, but the problem is that a lie is what you make others believe and live by.

I agree with Shirley, let them compete in the own category, it is not right for them to compete against biological girls. Eventually you will have people take advantage of the situation, especially women’s sports such as basketball. Not against them but not fair to girls!!

There should never be a transgender allowed in competition. Just because you think like the opposite sex doesn’t give you the muscles n genetic makeup as one. Good for you Mississippi.

Good for Mississippi way to go! My relatives live in this great state and I’m proud to see them taking a stand. I wish my state would do that same but I don’t see our Governor doing it as he’s of the other persuasion of the government.

Actually, it is impossible for a man to ever become completely a female. If if he is neutered he will never have a vagina, uterus or eggs. Just like a woman can never become a man.

Maybe we should move to Mississippi. Here’s an idea. Boys will be boys and girls will be girls. How about setting up a third

sports alignment where boys who will be girls can compete against each other ?

This world is really becoming scary. Yea, Yea TITLE IX.

Read title nine of the civil rights bill of 1964, went after men’s sports. For every dollar spent on male sports in college and high school, the college or high school had spent the same of money on female sports. Go back to 1964, girls were cheerleaders at a game, some played field hockey, but most girls did not play sports, not like the boys. Male sports like football and basketball bought in millions of dollars to the schools. Look at the stadium they built for men’s sports.

You can mentally become a girl. Hormones play a part in that. But they still have the strength of a boy. Just like a girl wanting to be a boy. You can rearrange the plumbing but the body does not become a boy. Can a transgender boy turned girl have children? I do not think so. Playing on a girls team would not be fair.

Well, you could mentally become a tree, donkey or suicidal, but we have treatment for that, just like gender identity disorders are treatable. If someone does not want to have it treated, then that is no cause to impose all of us seeing it as normal.
