In the latest Rasmussen poll, 38% of likely American voters think presidential candidate Joe Biden has some stage of dementia. Although the disease was named in the poll, it wasn’t defined. In general, most people consider dementia to be a loss of cognitive ability, such as recalling events and staying on task.
More likely voters, 48%, disagreed, and 14% aren’t sure.
In his own party, 20% of Democrats think Biden has some stage of dementia, while 66% of Republicans think so, as do 30% of those not affiliated with either major party.
A majority of voters, 61%, want Biden to address the issue of mental capacity because of his frequent gaffes and wandering statements.
All that being said, Biden looks as if he’s crazy like a fox. With minimal air time on national television and few public appearances, the candidate has steadily built his lead in the polls by keeping his comments to himself… as much as any politician can.
