This isn’t your neighborhood baby-sitting gig.
The Biden administration has a problem, it must care for thousands of unaccompanied migrant children that have crossed the border to take advantage of President Biden’s soft immigration approach. With thousands of kids staying in quarters designed for a few hundred, Biden is opening new facilities as fast as possible. But someone has to watch all those kids.
To wit, the administration put out a call to heads of departments, asking for them to recommend current employees that can be reassigned as well as retired federal employees from GS-9 to GS-15 for baby-sitting duty. Those job levels correspond to pay scales ranging from $46,000 to $143,000.
Crisis? What crisis?
