It might seem counter intuitive, but Ashley Madison, the website that promotes and facilitates extramarital affairs, reported that traffic increased more than 10% in March 2020 over March 2019.
With people required to stay at home, having an affair, especially starting one, might sound difficult. But users report that they’re having cyber-sex with their secret partners, and using the online relationships to relieve tension building at home.
The company found that 30 percent of its female users are having cybersex with their affair partners and 14 percent of its male users were having virtual sex with their affair partners.
Ashley Madison’s tagline is, “Life is short. Have an affair.”
For many Americans, that would make life shorter, as their spouses have threatened to “deal with them” if they step out.
