There’s nothing fishy about an internationally known financier, who was in jail on suspicion of underage sex crimes, committing suicide in his cell. Unless you consider that he ran with a heavyweight crowd, including politicians, Hollywood Moguls, Wall Streeters, and foreign dignitaries.
And then there’s the little problem that Jeffrey Epstein had reportedly already attempted suicide, which should have qualified him for 24/7 surveillance to make sure he didn’t try again.
Hmm. Maybe it is suspicious.
But none of that matters to Democratic hopefuls Beto O’Rourke and Senator Cory Booker. They know the source of everything wrong in the world, as well as outlandish conspiracy theories about Jeffrey Epstein’s demise… President Trump.
After the death on Saturday of Epstein, Trump retweeted a baseless claim from a conservative comedian that Clinton was involved in the death.
O’Rourke said on CNN’s State of the Union:
“This is another example of our president using this position of public trust to attack his political enemies with unfounded conspiracy theories.”
O’Rourke suggested Trump was trying to deflect attention from the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.
On CNN, Booker said:
“He is giving life to not just conspiracy theories but really whipping people up into anger and worse against different people in this country.”
Neither O’Rourke or Booker explained how Epstein was able to kill himself under such intense scrutiny.
The FBI and the Department of Justice’s Inspector General have opened investigations into the death of Epstein, who a source said had been taken off suicide watch. Last month, Epstein was found unconscious on the floor of his jail cell with marks on his neck, and officials were investigating that incident as a possible suicide or assault.
Lucky for the American people, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is on the case.
“We need answers. Lots of them.”
It wasn’t clear if Ocasio-Cortez was referring to the Epstein case or how she intends to pay for all the programs she’s recommended.
