Apple Closes U.S. Retail Stores, But Re-Opened Stores in China

Following the protocol set out by so many other retailers, Apple Inc said on Tuesday it is closing all its retail stores in the United States until further notice.  The move to close U.S. locations comes after Apple closed all retail locations in other countries, with one notable exception… China.

Apple closed its retail locations in China in early February as the coronovirus spread, but as the Middle Kingdom brought the infection rate under control businesses and activities of all sorts have reopened, including Apple.

China isn’t back to full operation yet, but the country is making great strides in that direction, which bodes well for Europe, the U.S., Canada, and Australia, which have taken dramatic steps to curb the spread of the virus.  If the mitigation efforts work, then the closures should be brief.
