American Company Approved to Sell Meat Grown in Lab
We’ve all had the same reaction when looking at perfectly uniform “chicken” nuggets. Is it really chicken? What part of the chicken looks like that?
While such nuggets are formed from meat bits, now we’re getting chicken pieces that aren’t even from chickens.
The American-based company Eat Just, recently won approval from the Singapore government to offer cell-cultured chicken meat under its GOOD meat brand. The product will be sold to restaurants before it is offered directly to consumers.
No chickens were killed to make the meat, but that’s not really comforting.
