Presumptive Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden spoke about racism and national healing on Thursday, claiming that most Americans are decent. But he also estimated how many he thinks don’t make the cut.
“Do we really think that this is as good as we can be as a nation? I don’t think the vast majority of people think that. There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people. But that’s not who we are. The vast majority of people are decent. We have to appeal to that and we have to unite people.”
With roughly 240 million adult Americans, Biden didn’t elaborate on how to identify the 24 million to 36 million people among us who just aren’t very good people. Maybe he will as we get closer to election day.
